Freezing in Mission Bay

We went to Mission Bay for a couple of hours..Even though it was pretty chilly, the kids enjoyed their time, playing in the water...

To the Beach again

The week we got back from Vacation and the concert we went to Torrey Pines Beach with friends..

La Jolla Shores

The week we got out of school we finally headed for the beach with a bunch of our friends. The kids really needed to get cooled off from such a hot week.

I bought a couple boogie boards for Joey and Raquel. Raquel had a good time on her board. Joey is in the background, ready to ride some waves..

Solana Beach

Beach day with the cousins and family is what we all really needed to start out the summer.

We first went to a great pizza joint and had some great food and then headed to the beach.

This was Joey's first time on a boogie board.. He's become my little surfer..

Point Loma/Ocean Beach

What a day this was..It was an adventure for all of us to remember. We drove to Point Loma to see the tide pools. As we drove into the state park we saw "pirate" ship out in the sea. I believe it's a tourist attraction for those who tour the area..It was awesome to look at. I have a few pics of the ship during this blog.

I didn't get a huge chance to look at the tide pools because Sionna had to go potty..That was an adventure in itself. I couldn't use the parks Porto potty because it was disgusting and I did not want poor Sionna to sit on it..Gross. So she went on the dirt..The area wasn't too secluded but there weren't any cars or people coming by. So the coast was clear. But she peed on her feet, and sandal's by accident..Oh what a day this was becoming.. While we were going back down to the tide pools, to wash her feet off, everyone was coming back up to leave..Wow. That was fun, wasn't it? So I cleaned Sionna's feet off.. The Cabrillo Monument was a pretty site though. Ha!

I made the water look green, with b/w..And the ship is way out there..looks cool.

I'm always taking pics so I had to put myself in them as well.

For some reason my family picture is in the wrong spot. I couldn't get it to move with my light house photos..Oh well..It's still a nice pic. I feel like I've adopted Sionna..She fits in with our family so well..I've always wanted three kids, right?

Another misplaced picture..Sionna with binoculars.. Ricardo had a good time looking for little sea crabs. The tide was a bit high to do some searching, though. Caroline found an empty lobster shell. That was neat.

After the tide pools we headed towards a historian light house. That was really interesting to check out. I took a shot of the submarine base across the way from where we were..The cub scouts have had camping trips there.
And you'll see, once again, my pirate ship..It was in a different spot..Looked so cool..
After the Light house tour we went to Ocean Beach for some more tide pooling and playing in the water. The kids had a blast!
