4th Of July Parade 09

July, so far, has been a bit busy and hot! On 4th of July My troop and the cubscouts were in the Mira Mesa parade again. It was a beautiful, breezy day. Not that hot at all. We were pretty lucky with our Weather.

There's my boy, marching away!And here is my girl marching, or let me put it this way, complaining in the parade. She really doesn't like walking in the parades.. She complains her feet hurt and she's tired.. It's really not that long of a walk. But she made it through!

Webelo 2

Graduation for our Cubscouts! Joey moved up from Webelos 1 to Webelos 2...

Scout Fair

Every year there is a Scout Fair at Qualcom stadium. Before Joey's soccer game we took a trip over to the fair.

Joey and Raquel loved this little booth. They were playing in the Green slime for the longest time. All it is, is corn starch, water and food coloring.

The both had green hands for the rest of the day.

Then we headed to another booth where the scouts had an obstacle course

Another booth had rope making.

And the Race is ON!

"The Annual Pine Derby Races" were tonight. Every year the cub scouts get to design their own car and race them with other cars. Raquel took in on the action as well. She got to race with other siblings. It was a crazy night with crazy boys! It was a lot of fun to watch. There's Joey's car on the far right. He did great!

Papa and Raquel raced! Ricardo's car is the red one. Raquel's is the one next to his. She was so excited!

Blue & Gold

The Cub Scouts had their annual Blue & Gold Ceremony. The Webelos 2 graduated to Boy Scouts. And Ricardo became Pack Leader. I'm so proud of my hubby. He did a great job with his presentations and speeches.

The kids got to do a little craft before the ceremony started.

Cars

Pinewood Derby is here again. Ricardo and the kids are making their cars for the cubscouts pinewood derby races, coming up soon. It was such fun last year watching Joey race his car, so I can't wait to see him race again.

I'll have pictures of all the cars real soon. But for now here are Ricardo's car and Raquels. So far they're turning out great!
