Going Pom Pom Crazy!

Since Raquel got a Pom Pom maker for Xmas, I've taken over the little beast.. Seeing all these ideas for "crafty" pom poms got me in the "crafty" mood.. I thought of  making a scarf out of the poms but it didn't turn out the way I'd hoped. I might go back to making another one soon. But in the meantime it became a scarf for the cat to wear. I called him "Fancy Rusty"
I went on Pinterest to see more "crafty" ideas and I found one that appealed to me. I saw a wreath. I liked it so much that I've been making Poms all day. This is going to be a wreath for Valentines Day..As my sister said, these can become dust collectors..I agree. I can picture having one on the wall all year round and getting dust, spiders and who knows what else, fall into the poms. So, just having this one up for a month shouldn't be too much of a mess..I'll put it away for the next year. More pics of this later..As for now here are the colors I've decided on..


Oh one more thing: I blame my sister-in-law, Nina for getting me crazy with Pom Poms LOL...Actually she got Raquel hooked on them during Thanksgiving and gave her the kit on Xmas..It's been a new Hobby, for now anyway...

Silly Collar

Sometimes I get a kick out of seeing pets wearing silly clothing for the holidays..When I saw these collars for cats, I knew I had to get them..Oh and of course Raquel enjoyed this too.. I always tell her to stop torturing the cat, but Is this torturing? Hahaha..My poor Rusty..

Our New Cat, Rusty

Well we did it.. We got a new cat. We call him: Rusty.

Today we headed on over to the Animal Humane Society and looked around for a very long time for the perfect cat. We were introduced to this 6month old, handsome cat that reacted very cool with us. He wasn't scared or nervous by the kids and loved to be held.. He has purrrrrrred non-stop since we brought him home.

He reminds me of a very tamed, relaxing beach bum. He's just so welcoming and is the nicest cat.
He has adjusted to his new home and new family very nicely..

He even likes Ricardo!! hahahaaaa!! And Ricardo likes him.. :)

The kids can't get enough of their new pet and love him so much.

Instead of getting a very small kitten the 6m old cat is easier to take care of, especially when we're out of the house for awhile..

He's just the "cool cat's pajamas"...
