10yr Wedding Anni gettaway

10 YEARS HAVE COME!
Can you believe it? It feels like yesterday that we got married in Honey and Dads backyard, saying our vows.
Wowee! Look how young and skinny I was! "sigh"... That was a great day!
Anyways, on with the Weekend gettaway to the other side of San Diego.. My mom came to our house to take care of the kids for us..We decided to head downtown for the weekend. It's a big ole city, so why not spend our Anniversary down there? The first night we went to a Comedy club for some good laughs. I won't tell you how much I drank, Just know we were a happy, married couple. :)
The next day we pretty much vegged in our delux hotel room and slept for a long time.. It felt great!! no one to look after except ourselves..Ricardo really needed the rest anyways..He's been so busy lately.
Later on in the day we headed for the trolley to go to a Padres game. Here we are waiting for the trolley..Ricardo loved all these closeups of us.. He knew what he was getting himself into when we went away together..

We got to the Petco Park pretty early so we walked all the way to Seaport Village. This is what I call "Tourist Town"..Lots of tourists involved here..I felt like one of them..

To the game at last. Poor Padres had a terrible night. But it was sooo much fun to see. We each got a free jersey to wear, and of course I made Ricardo wear his along with me.
Too bad I looked real tired in that photo of us in our seats..UGH! Lets move on now.

We sat right by First Plate..That was a cool spot..Wow..Nice and close.
What a great Anniversary. I'm so grateful and proud of the family we have created. We're still here, and counting more years to come!

On the other side of San Diego my mom entertained the children with boxes. Yes you read right. Boxes.. Not just any boxes. These boxes turned into Drive-in-box cars. The kids decorated them and watched movies inside their boxes. My mom was so excited to see their creation come to life.

Smile!!!
Raquel's starting her design
She tried painting as well.

BRRRRRM BRRRRM! Joey made his box into a Race Car!
Raquel with her webkinz..Mom made a steering wheel for Raquel's car. Turned out way cool!
UH OH..Joey is gone. Except for his legs.
Off to the races!

Mom spoiled the kids with lots of goodies to play with. Oh and she got Raquel a new Webkinz. Like Raquel doesn't have enough already. But that's what Bema's are for right? To Spoil!

To the movies!

End of the movie with their glow sticks..
Thanks so much for taking care of the kiddies, Mom! They had a blast! We couldn't have gone away without your help!

Congratulations on your 10th anniversary! Your Mom was great to stay with the kids and give you and Ricardo a chance for a get away. Sounds like everyone had a good time.
